To fuel your lamp in Windrose, you need 3x Animal Fat, which is obtained by hunting boars, as they consistently drop the fat needed for fuel. Once you have the fat, go to a Workbench, access the "Refill/Repair" tab (the second tab), and select your lamp to replenish it to 100%.

To get Gunpowder in Windrose, you must craft it at a Millstone using 10 Sulfur and 20 Ash. This requires defeating the first boss (Thomas Richards) to access the Foothills for sulfur and unlocking the Iron Tier to build the Millstone. Early-game gunpowder can be found by looting chests in POIs or defeating pirate enemies
