Grandma don't care about numbers juggling. The only numbers Grandma cares about are 6 7 and two fiddy.

I also wonder if it has to do with learning methods. I am guessing more kids now learn fundamentals or mechanics, where as previous generations just learned "tricks".

Brain plasticity is a factor. I think for young people now they are exposed to the ceiling of what is possible by things like tiktok and youtube. When we were younger you had to be motivated to find the limits of whats possible. Now the internet shows you whats possible right away.
